What are Micro Treble Hooks and when should I use them?
Micro Trebles are salmon flies tied on small trebles hooks of size 16 and 18, and can be an ideal choice when fishing in low water conditions, such as during the summer when rivers and streams may be experiencing low flow due to hot weather or drought. In these conditions, the water may be clearer and the fish may be more wary, making a smaller and more subtle presentation more effective.
However, it's worth noting that low water and micro treble hooks can be used in a variety of different fishing situations, not just when the water level is low. They are generally just a smaller and more subtle version of a standard treble hook, and can be a good choice when targeting smaller or more finicky fish or when a subtle presentation is desired for any other reason.
