Muddlers & Tadpoles flies
The Muddler when fished on the surface will imitate a variation of terrestrial bugs, also such delights as grasshoppers to wounded minnows. Underwater it many well appearance to the trout as a large nymph or small baitfish.
The Tadpole (also known as Bugger or Worm Fly) is a versatile and productive trout fly. The marabou tail and in many cases a palmered body suggest succulent larva, tadpoles or leeches.
