About the Holo Blue Buzzer Trout Fly
The Holo Blue Buzzer is the pattern to reach for when the trout have "seen all the usual suspects". Its standout feature is the holographic blue glint, which adds just enough flash to make fish take notice while still keeping a slim, buzzer accurate profile.
This is a superb choice during buzzer time when trout are intercepting chironomid pupae in the upper layers; or when you simply need a slightly different look to turn inspections into confident takes.
Fishing Tips:
- Fish it on a floating line with a long leader and let it drift and hang — many buzzer takes come when the fly is doing very little.
- Add a slow figure-of-eight retrieve to keep it moving naturally.
- If fish are deeper or there’s a chop on, try an intermediate line and count it down before a gentle retrieve.
