About the Kingfisher Butcher Trout Fly
This Kingfisher Butcher variant, also know to some as the Levan Variant, is a relative of the Bloody Butcher pattern created in the 1830s by Moon & Dewhurst.
It has proved to be successful on still waters for many years.

- Tail : Blue cock.
- Body : Flat silver tinsel.
- Rib : Oval silver tinsel.
- Wing : Blue mallard, crow wing or magpie tail feather.
- Hackle : Blood red cock.
