About the Woven Polish Nymph Trout Fly

The Woven Polish Nymph was created specifically for fishing using the "Short Nymphing" method.

It has plenty of weight and no hackles to get it to sink as quickly as possible.

Expert Tip:

"Short Nymphing". Stand sideways to the current and cast your nymph upstream, point the rod tip down so as to keep the line led on the water for a couple of seconds, then lift it a few inches or so depending on the depth of water. The line must not touch the water surface. Keep in touch with the nymph at all times, you follow it downstream using the currant's natural drift.

  • Thread : Black.
  • Underbody : Lead wire to suit.
  • Underbody : Build up a nice tapered shape with tying silk or floss, ready to weave on top.
  • Body : Two colours of viscose or rayon floss silk, one dark for the back and one light for the belly. These are shuttle weaved up to the eye of the hook.
